Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan says Transport Research Arena 2024 (TRA2024) will be a milestone in Ireland’s journey towards finding new ways to move people and goods. As the largest transport and mobility research event ever staged in Ireland, TRA will attract over 3500 delegates from over 50 countries and be worth an estimated €7m to the Irish economy. It’s set to take place at the RDS in Dublin from 15 – 18 April.

‘AIR TAXIS’ TO SOAR IN THE SKIES OVER IRELAND IN 2027
One of the contributors to an upcoming conference on the future of transport and mobility in Europe says it expects to see air taxis in operation in Ireland within 3 years. Future Mobility Campus Ireland is amongst a group of global experts to take part in TRA2024 at the RDS in Dublin from April 15 – 18 this year. TRA2024 is the largest European gathering to address all aspects of transport and mobility.
€600K PEATLANDS RESTORATION SCHEME LAUNCHED IN WICKLOW
The organisers of Transport Research Arena (TRA2024) have launched a €600,000 peatlands rewetting project in County Wicklow as preparations continue for the conference taking place in Dublin in April. TRA is the largest European event to address all aspects of transport and mobility and it is estimated that bringing it to Dublin will be worth €7 million to the Irish economy.
The rewetting initiative will restore 100 hectares of degraded blanket bog in Wicklow Mountains National Park, in a collaboration bringing together TRA2024, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Department of Transport.
