Transport Transitions:
Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility
The Transport Research Arena has become one of the most important transport conferences in Europe since the inaugural conference was held in Goteburg Sweden in 2006. It is anticipated that Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2024 will build on the success of previous conferences including the 2022 conference held in Lisbon. The conference will provide a platform for all modes of transport including road, rail, water, aviation as well as cross-modality and passenger/freight transport in urban and inter-urban settings.
Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2024 will also address the main challenges in transport and mobility of people and goods, with respect to energy, environment, safety, security and socio-economic issues.
I believe the conference will offer a fantastic opportunity to bring together stakeholders to network and to facilitate co-operation in the areas of research and innovation in the transport sector.
People who would benefit from attending include those from the research and academic community, industry and the private sector, policymakers and public administrations active within the field of transport.
It is a great source of pride that Ireland is hosting the next Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference, and we hope to see you in Dublin in 2024.

Transport Research Arena (TRA) offers an excellent opportunity for researchers, policymakers and industry representatives to come together and discuss how research and innovation are changing our transport and mobility system.
We are inviting all people working in transport and mobility research to contribute to TRA2024, and are designing a flexible programme that will allow all stakeholders to be heard. The call for papers is now open and we look forward to hearing from you!
